Birthday and Baby Shower Cross Stitch

Here are the cross stitch I did for birthday gifts:

For my oldest, dearest friend:
I love the saying in this one!

Now for my sisters (their birthdays are 10 days apart)

I sent this bookmark off with a scrap booking book:

Yesterday I went to my first baby shower in nearly 20 years. The mother-to-be has the nursery set up with a Noah's Ark them, so I stitched this elegant Just Nan piece for her shower gift (another gift had been sent from her registry):

This was the first Just Nan design that I have stitched. This designer is a cross-stitcher! There is an ease and smoothness stitching designs that a fellow cross-stitcher has done. I have more of her designs to stitch and I am looking forward to doing them.

But right now - it's a Noah's Ark baby sampler I'm working on...
Christmas Cross Stitch

Here are the gifts I stitched for friend and family:

I started the Salty Santas in January 2005 and finished it in November 2008:

There are three retired sailors in our family: me, my sister, and an uncle.

Of course every year I do a Santa, Snowman and Angel:

My cat loving sister is a very busy lady, so I though this was perfect for her:

A cute gift tag:

And a banner (for my boss):
Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!

Things are Looking Up

Larry is doing much better after he came home from the hospital on 4/29/09. He was thoroughly checked out - his heart and stomach are fine. He has a bit of pneumonia and of course the already diagnosed diabetes and arthritis.
He is eating normally and feeling better so he doesn't fell the need to take all of his pain pills. Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers.
