Things are Looking Up!

After a long conversation with the counselor at the hospital Wednesday night I got her to understand that the reason my husband seems to be mentally upset is because he was in a lot of pain. The cops brought him back at 9:10 PM.

I ended up taking Thursday off - we stayed up late Wednesday talking.

Thursday morning Larry went back to his mom's doctor (the one that sent him to the mental health clinic) and he told him he wouldn't change his prescriptions unless he got clearance from the mental health clinic - the clinic that wanted my husband committed! Our regular doctor retired and another practice has opened up in his building. It is headed by a black woman - so Larry was a little leery at first but did go see her. And he found a doctor who listened to him. She also had his record from his old doctor - the woman who was cleaning out the closed practice walked his record down the hall. The new doctor changed a couple of his prescriptions and gave him one that helps with diabetic nerve pain! Finally!!

Friday Larry was in much better spirits - the shooting pains that he had been suffering from since the second week of December are gone. Now he just hurts from the arthritis.

The last seven weeks had been really hard on me. It was funny, everyone at work Friday could see that a load had been lifted off of me! Hallelujah!!!

Wednesday night was pretty scary but things are looking up!

Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers!

Take care & enjoy,
Florence

I Cannot Believe What Has Happened!

Larry has been dealing with nerve pains since the second week of December. His regular doctor didn't want to give him any painkillers for him to get addicted to. We started looking for pain management doctors but the pain management center that took our insurance is no longer in business. Larry set up an appointment with his Mom's pain doctor but that didn't work out. Last week his regular doctor told him he was retiring.

Larry found a new doctor and his first appointment today and he sent Larry over to the mental health clinic. He's hurting so bad he can hardly take it - so he says he can't take it any more and the mental health clinic sent him over to the emergency room at the hospital. Once he got there he asked who's going to pay for this? The hospital said they took our insurance but wanted a $50 co-pay. So he left.

At 7:30PM three police officers come to the house with a court order to take him to the hospital. They treat him like a common criminal and put restraints on him.

I haven't heard anything since then.

Please keep us in your thought and prayers.
