A Week and a Half to Christmas

A Week and a Half to Christmas

Well, Christmas is a week and a half away.  The stress load has decreased immensely since I got the bulk of gifts sent out and on their way.   The cards have been sent and I’m just about ready to settle down and enjoy the holiday season.

I have one gift to finish assembling – all that is left is some hand sewing.  There are a couple more gifts for hubby still to come in and of course the sugar-free Rocky Mountain chocolate.

There are a lot of sugar-free chocolate out there.  Hershey makes a pretty good one but it is really hard to beat Rocky Mountain chocolate.  My hubby loves toffee and the one the Rocky Mountain chocolate makes is the best tasting one.

During the last couple of weeks we endured several days of record breaking low temperatures.  The afternoon highs were still near normal but the mornings were pretty cold.  It’s a little cloudy and gray today but we’re looking at some sunny mild weather moving in.  No dreaming of a white Christmas down here!

I endured nearly two months of a 30-mile (one way) commute where the office I worked out moved way out on the other side of town.  It wouldn’t have been so bad if the new location had been closer to the interstate – but it was another 12 miles to work – seven of them on a two-lane road.  I could handle the commute while I had some work to do at the office but when the workload really shrunk – I called it quits.  The one thing I hate as a temp is to sit and do nothing at work.  I have enough to do at home – especially this time of year.

We’ve made it through our big year of zeros – two birthdays and an anniversary.

I hope all of you and yours have a very Merry Christmas!

Take care & enjoy,
Florence
