This Year Is Off To A Flying Start!
This Year Is Off To A Flying Start!
Where has the month of January gone? Yikes!
I have been busy with my eBay store – posting new items and shipping a bunch of sold items. I’ve also scanned items to sell and learned how to use a new digital camera.
My in-laws are in their 80s and are still using film cameras – and we had two digital cameras. I had a 1-mega pixel point and shoot camera that I had for six or seven years. I used mostly for taking pictures of stuff to sell. My husband ad a 3 mega pixel zoom camera that wasn’t really being used so he gave it to me and I gave my camera to the in-laws. Fortunately the two cameras were from the same company so I didn’t have too much problem learn how to use the new one. Haven’t heard from the in-laws so they probably haven’t figured out what to do with the digital camera. <sigh>
I was looking for some palm designs for a house-warming gift but didn’t find any appealing ones in counted cross stitch so I browsed over to latch hook and found some really nice designs. I haven’t latched hooked since 1979-1980 but I guess once a craft is learned, it’s never really forgotten <grin>.
I got a Grip-It stand to hold the larger scroll frames and make stitching a little easier by getting the scroll frame out of my lap. Since I have 3-4 projects this year that will be on 18 inch or longer scrolls frames, I was happy to get it. I started working on a small latch hook project (it will be made into a pillow) today and quickly figured out that the Grip-It would also be good for latch hook! So I put the canvas on the scroll bar frame that came with the Grip-It and have been happily hooking ever since.
Landed a temp job that lasted a week and a day. These short jobs are a little hard to take but since they really didn’t have anything for me to do I’m not sure why I was there to begin with. Normally my jobs last six weeks to 4 months long. In March I’ll have been temping for four years…
After several weeks of gloomy gray weather, the skies have cleared out nicely and a bit of well below normal temperature have settled in. It is so nice to see the sun!
Hope everything is well with you and yours!
Take care & enjoy,
Florence
