New Email Service
The month of November has really flown by! December and our anniversary are right around the corner! That’s right, Thanksgiving this week and next week our anniversary (12/04). 29 years! Not sure how we made it that long…
One thing I like about Yahoo! Mail Plus was getting all of my mail – including my Roadrunner mail – in one place. But aggravating problems started popping up so I started looking for something new. Came across Google’s Gmail and signed up. Gmail does things a little differently and that took some getting used to but the amount of storage is great and the price (free!) suites our budget. Gmail is not set up to accept mail from other servers, but there is a way to get my Roadrunner mail – it requires two additional programs to do it – but it can be done. All in all, I’m pretty impressed with Gmail and set up a second Gmail account for my eBay business.
Now that I have two Gmail accounts it’s time to streamline my email addresses. I’ll have to keep my main Roadrunner address since it is the master account, but I plan on getting rid of two Roadrunner address and the Yahoo address. This will take a while since I have had the addresses for a while. But that is my goal – move all of my mail to Gmail.
Finally rained earlier this week – haven’t had any at all in nearly two months. But the last couple of days have been gorgeous – clear blue skies, cool temperature, and not too much wind. Thanksgiving was warmer than I would have liked (it hit 70) but it has cooled off again today with temperatures reaching the mid 50’s. But the five-day forecast shows some warm weather moving in just ahead of the next cold front.
Today was not a holiday where I’m working but I took the day off. Got the Christmas tree and manager scene up and went through all of the Christmas boxes and ended up getting rid of four boxes of stuff – it’s amazing how quickly Christmas stuff collects.
Yesterday the Thanksgiving dinner had to wait until my father-in-law got back from the store. He went to the store to get milk and came back with a pair of pants, two turtlenecks, and a vest. Evidently one of the stores in the area wanted to get a jump on the today’s big retail event and was open yesterday. I don’t think he ever got the milk….
I hope you all had a very Happy Thanksgiving! The Christmas rush is on…
Take care & enjoy,
Florence
