Here are the two graduation samplers that I did early this year. Only have one to do next year!

September Has Flown By!

It's hard to believe that September is nearly over and it's only three months to Christmas! Yikes!

Last week my husband found a teacup Yorkshire terrier puppy on a SC trading website. Only problem was someone had hacked into the site and instead of getting a puppy we ended up sending money to a hacker in Africa. With hindsight it's pretty easy where things went wrong - before things got hot and heavy a couple of questions should have been asked. But isn't that how scams work? They get you really excited about something before sucking you in. You would think that as old as we both are we wouldn't have walked in a scam. I guess no one is immune.

Staying busy at work (and still working a ton of overtime). I tried to cut my hours back this week but a deluge of mail has put me behind in my other tasks.

I have most of the Christmas gifts wrapped (I did that Labor Day weekend) but am making some as well. I have two done and eight more to do! Yikes!

Well, I guess you know why have I haven't been posting too much to the blog .

Take care & enjoy,

Happy Labor Day!

After a very hot August, temperatures this month have settled down to normal. After the near and record-tying heat last month, normal temperatures feel really good! It's still dry though - we could really use some rain but there doesn't seem to be any in this week's forecast.

Hope you all are having a great Labor Day!

I finally finished the cross stitch gift I started in July this weekend. That took a little longer than I would have liked. I have about 12 more projects to get done by Christmas. Fortunately most of the projects are small.

All last month I continued to work 5 to 7 hours of overtime a week. That makes about three months of that. This upcoming week I will not be working any over time - the company won't pay overtime in a week with time off (such as this holiday) unless you actually work 40 hours. I have no desire to work 10 hours days each of the next four days to get my forty hours. So no overtime this week!

Still busy selling stuff out of my eBay store. I haven't found the time to post new items even though I have a lot to write up - finding time to write up descriptions has been scarce. I figure that I have been spending the time I need to post items working overtime.

It has been a long time since I posted anything - last month was just to hot to do much and the poor air conditioner doesn't have the power needed to keep the house cool during triple digit temperatures. Also, after spending 9 to 9 1/2 hours a day staring at a computer monitor has made me stay on the computer just long enough to check my email and my eBay stuff. I'll try to post more often, but no promises - I have all that cross stitch to get done!

Take care & enjoy!
