Spring Keeps Marching On!

About three weeks ago everything in sight started blooming. Now the flowering trees and azaleas are shedding their blooms and putting out leaves. The red tip bushes are still in full bloom – there are a lot of them around here – they are often used along property lines. We have three (my husband got them from a buddy who was selling his house). They have grown nicely over the years and cover a good bit of the front yard fence (and hide the ugly car port next door).

So everything is greening up nicely. We flirted with another freeze last week – it didn’t quite get down to freezing but it got close enough to frost up the windshield of the truck. I’ve been hearing a long about how spring is starting earlier and earlier – no evidence of that around here – last year we reset our last freeze date which had been 3/31 for a long time – with a date in early April.

The training has been cranked up at work – our boss wants all of us in our new positions by the end of next month. Normally you only have to train your replacement and not have to train for the new job at the same time! Hopefully I’ll be able to cut down my overtime – the new position doesn’t seem to have quite as much to do….

Still working on some belated birthday gifts! I would really like to get them done and sent out – but I’m not quite there!

It got warm enough last Friday to cut the air conditioner on. It’s probably on for the duration…

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Take care & enjoy, Florence

It's Spring!!

Spring is in all it's glory. Everything is blooming - the dogwoods, the azaleas, wisteriea, red tip bushe and even the cherry laurel in front of our house. The temperatures are also swinging between warm and cool.

I read this interesting post at Ray Comfort's blog::

It's no wonder why this country is having so many problems considering how far this country has moved away from God. The way things are going - it doesn't seem like it's going to get any better...

I've been working a lot of overtime. All work and no play....

I have an eBay item to ship but I can't log on to eBay. The site will not accept the PayPal security key code. And when I click on the lost key link they want to call me but the number listed is our old landline phone which has been disconnected for a couple of years.

Well, I have a good bit of stitching to get done so I'll sign off for now.

Take care & enjoy,
Florence
