Clutter Busting Shows
Clutter Busting Shows
I enjoy watching this kind of shows so I’d thought I’d talk about a few of them:
Take a really cluttered room, add an organizer to motivate and cheer the family, sort, sort, sort, and then remake the room. There’s a lot packed into this half hour show
Take two really cluttered rooms add a designer, an organizer, and a team of workers to redo the two rooms in two days. Seeing all of the stuff out of the two rooms spread out on the lawn is often very sobering. The family and the organizer sort the items while the decorator and the team starts re-doing the room. That’s day one. Day two is the flea market – the person with the most sales gets to keep one of their items. There’s drama as the sorting goes on and more drama as the team races to get the rooms redone.
Take a cluttered house – add a diva, a decorator, an organizer, and a flea market guru – delve into the reason for the clutter – get the family to give up stuff for the yard sale. In this show, the proceeds from the yard sale pay for the redo although often favors are pulled in to sweeten the deal. Emotions run high in this show and there is good bit of humor as well.
This show isn’t on the air right now. Set in England, it does what many of the other shows – take clutter – move it out to sort – decide what to sell and what to keep. The yard sale is a boot sale over their and the best part of the show is the crusher – one or more emotional but little value items are thrown in to be crushed.
Since I can’t afford to get a team to move the clutter of the house, I’ll do it slow but steady – selling it on eBay!
Take care & enjoy,
Florence
