Still Working...

The temp job at the bank got extended two weeks. :-)   I guess I’m doing a good job – they’re keeping me. :-)

Had to cut the air conditioner on for a few days this week – with sunny skies and temperatures in the 80’s the brick on the house absorbs a lot of energy and then after sunset re-radiates the heat.  You wouldn’t think that yellow bricks would be so bad but they still absorb heat.  But yesterday a cold front came through and we’re back to the lovely fall weather with fresh air coursing through the house.

My husband has been in agony for the last couple of weeks due to a pinched nerve in his back.  After seeing his doctor and having an MRI done, he now has to go talk to a neurosurgeon.  It’s tough seeing your other half suffering….

I finally finished the snooker birthday card.  The piece was only 3 inches by 4 inches but took a solid two weeks to stitch!  I’m now working on a much bigger piece – it is wide by not too high piece that is on my largest scroll bar. I really need to settled down and stitch!  I still have to finish the geese – that piece is about 2/3 done so that shouldn’t take too long (I hope!).

I finished reading Deuteronomy today.  I’m still reading the New Living Translation.  For some reason, getting through Numbers was really tough.  But I soldiered through it.

I should have more news next week on my husband – your thoughts and prayers are appreciated.

Take care & enjoy,
Florence
