My Beading Adventure
My Beading Adventure
This week I finished my 8th stitched beading project. This last project was a very elegant rose with a fringed beaded border. It will be made into a magnetic pincushion. I have really enjoyed working with the beaded kits – they were all small projects so it didn’t take long to get the satisfaction of finishing something.
Now it’s back to just stitching with floss …
I tend to leave finishing the stitched items until another time. I’m a much better stitcher than finisher! With Christmas fast approaching I can’t leave them too long…
I finished reading the Amplified Bible Wednesday. I have started reading a New Living Translation Bible that is set up more like a novel with all of the verses in a chapter strung together. It is very easy to read so I think it is a good version to start with. I don’t think it will be my favorite version but it is still early – I have only read Matthew, Mark, and most of Luke. Still a lot of Bible left.
September was a very dry month – just a trace of rain. It looks like October will be a little wetter – showers are forecast for every day this week. Still running the air conditioner – hopefully for only a few more weeks…
I always become a bit emotional at the end of September – it’s not as bad as it used to be but September 30th is when my Dad passed away. It’s been nearly 20 years ago so the grief is not very strong – but it still lingers…
Have a great week!
